Description

HPCB Seminar:

Putting the party in participatory evaluation with youth

Do you want to include youth as active stakeholders in your evaluations, but don’t know how?

Participatory evaluation calls for the inclusion of all stakeholders throughout the evaluation process. In addition to improving the quality of your evaluation, participatory evaluation provides young people with opportunities to develop and enhance new skills. We will review how The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care’s 11 Principles of Youth Engagement can inform participatory evaluation, with a particular emphasis on data collection.

The webinar will explore:

  • Benefits of participatory evaluation with youth;
  • Facilitators of a successful evaluation including youth; and
  • Tools and techniques for use in participatory data collection including questionnaires, interviews, digital storytelling, PhotoVoice and Most Significant Change.

Presenters:

Allison Meserve, Health promotion consultant, Public Health Ontario

Kristy Ste Marie, Acting Manager, YATI & Youth Engagement, Youth Advocacy Training Institute, Ontario Lung Association
